Chandeliers are composed of multiple wooden circles and sword.
The end of the sword creates an illusion of being buried in the ceiling, just as
Arthur's famous sword Excalibur was embedded in stone.

"Clean lines and among my finest sculptures, Guenivierre was born out of hope for an intangible something more, bringing out intent and beauty through wood and human form," says Eustis.
Qualities by which people lived in the days of
The Round Table:

Courage
Loyalty
Courtesy
Authority
Truth Virtue
Service
Nobility
Humility
Gallantry
Grace Honor
If we can embrace our lives and those of others in that way,
we can create our own harmony, according to Karen.
This design's intention resonates such harmony.

With my designs, as with my sculptures, I hope to bring to this world art created to convey joy, hope, beauty, success, peace, harmony and a connection to the divine, to those who are willing to embrace them.

From Karen Cauvin Eustis…

In these times of chaos and fear, I wish to remind people that it is love and harmony; it is connection to the divine that will make the world brighter.

I want to keep my eye clearly focused here...not to ignore the suffering, fear and pain that the world is experiencing, but to see the solution clearly focused on each of us as individuals, living our lives with character and integrity ... creating a domain of character and integrity ... so we may respect all as individuals, unique and different, with diversity, yet all created equal as our America suggests.

In this clarity of focus I hope to spread an ideal of living ... an American dream ... The American Dream ... of equality ... of harmony ... with liberty and justice for all.

Excalabur Series of chandeliers is designed based on the Sword in the Stone Legend: of King Arthur, Merlin the Magician, his Knights and Ladies.
It is the story of Love and Harmony whose ideology has lived in legend only.
It was a time when character and integrity were the most important qualities to create this perfect dream, a domain of harmony and equality.
As the legend tells, when the man who contained the character and integrity necessary to rule the land came along he could remove the sword from the stone. This proved to be "Arthur" the boy king.

It is Karen's intention with this design to set a resonance of the Round Table's character and integrity to live a life of Courage, Loyalty, Virtue, Authority, Service Nobility, Humility, Grace, Truth, Courtesy, Honor, & Gallantry. Embracing our lives and the lives of others in this way, we can create our own personal domain of harmony.Karen attempts to create an illusion of a sword embedded in the ceiling, just as the sword was embedded in the stone in that ancient legend. The sword comes down through the dining room, conference room, ballroom as the center force of the group.
It sets the tone for the table; It sets the tone for the gathering.

The wooden circles, a set of eight in the design, represent the handle of the sword. It is comprised of 7 circles representing the steps in a human process. The eighth circle is that of something more...something of the divine assistance that comes of living our lives with such dignity. These circles which "hold" the female forms are set in such a way to create a wheel of magic. This wheel is as the ancient circles of stones were.
Circles of ancient times were thought to hold some sort of divine intervention or power to assist those humans who would congregate there.
Karen has used these ancient symbols to set an intention and a tone for any main room of decisions and gatherings.
It is her intention to spread an ideal of living with character and integrity that we as humans can strive to achieve. We can create and continue to "grow" with each other; All being created equal.

The first of the series is "Guenivierre," strong and gentle yet vulnerable. She represents hope. She brings substance and Soul to the table. She is creating the space for this harmony...the hope for this breathes....this harmony. Nurturing, caring, giving, inspiring, uplifting. "Guenivierre," moving people and awakening the power in them. So the "Guenivierre "sculpture" of this piece is the bearer of these qualities and brings them to force in the room; these divine interventions are held by the circles.

The second in this series is "Morgain."
"Morgain" energy brings challenge to the table. The challenge to have that which matters....the victory of character...Karen has used a small sculpture ...one that seems submissive maybe... albeit accepting...to represent this challenge. This is to set the tone that we submit to living our lives with this challenge....of a life of character and integrity...as that of the Round Table...That this challenge should be of a size any room could handle, just as this challenge should be one easily reached by all humans. It is within our range of possibility. So while a challenge sounds difficult...it is not too large to be contained in a smaller space.

"The Lady of the Lake" is the third of the series. She represents Nimoui or "The Lady of the Lake." She is the initiator. She sets things in motion. She brings innocence, wonder & mystery. She brings the energy of success to the table; Success in this world just as she brought the magic of success in the Legend; The magic to pull the sword free of the stone. The success that comes when one lives a life of Courage, Loyalty, Virtue, Authority, Service, Nobility, Humility, Grace, Truth, Courtesy, Honor and Gallantry.
